| I still cringe when I'm about to shift into fourth... my old transmission was so horrible it left that mental reaction for life. But my "98+ spec" shifts perfectly in every gear and there is no audible whine. Maybe I was lucky? Time will tell... I'm not sure what others have done, but I left the Nissan fluid in it. Figured if the first one lasted 70-80k with stock fluid then I won't change it. Me and Jeff put my transmission in one week before Branson Z Fest in 2008, I drove it several hundred miles and then went about 6 or 7 times down the drag strip. I pretty much put it immediately to the test. It had some difficult shifting at times with some very minor grinding, but I'm guessing that was a break in period or something because it hasn't been doing that at all since then.
